Dan Pelino Lauded for Excellence in Healthcare Advocacy
Dan Pelino lends years of expertise to his work with Everyone Matters, Inc.
OAKTON, VA, April 3, 2024, Dan Pelino has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A seasoned leader with years of expertise in business development, change management, and social advocacy, Mr. Pelino excels as the co-founder and president of Everyone Matters, Inc., a social impact enterprise that guarantees equal access to healthcare and education for all. Through the organization, he aims to ensure each person’s right to dignity and respect and the ability to be who they are without being shamed. Alongside his work with Everyone Matters, Mr. Pelino is a NEXT Integrative Mind Life Sciences and DNAmito board member, special adviser for the Call and Check, and an adjunct professor at Western Kentucky University.
Over the years, Mr. Pelino also gained valuable expertise as a board member for Itron, Inc., a special adviser with Liglio, and global general manager at IBM, where he worked for nearly 40 years. Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, he regularly contributes to discussions regarding healthcare and citizen-based services on such shows as Dr. Oz, CNN, Bloomberg, the BBC, and various global media outlets. He has also testified before Congress about the Affordable Care Act and healthcare policies. Similarly, Mr. Pelino authored a book called “Trusted Healers: Dr. Paul Grundy and the Global Healthcare Crusade,” which delves into healthcare, leadership, and societal change.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pelino has worked alongside others in the field to bring about change. He worked with Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker on her first trade mission to Mexico, where they pursued economic development opportunities with regional and national Mexican government. An expert in his field, he holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, and public relations and a master’s degree in organizational communications and behavioral sciences from Western Kentucky University.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Pelino aligns himself with the National Association of Corporate Directors. In light of his professional achievements, he was named a best-selling author on Amazon and won several writing awards from publishing companies. Additionally, he and Dr. Paul Grundy received the Leadership in Healthcare Award from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Personally, Mr. Pelino was awarded the Leadership in Global Education Award from the World Affairs Council and the National Corporate Global Education Award.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Pelino takes the most pride in significantly contributing to the healthcare industry, writing about mental and behavioral health, and fostering good interpersonal relationships with those around him. Mr. Pelino intends to write another book, host more podcasts, and engage in conversations surrounding healthcare, societal change, and leadership.
